Question 8

Eeek.  I know.  I'm late in posting by DAYS but I am about to get caught up.  Promise.

8. What are 5 passions you have?
  • Teaching.  Mostly children.  There is nothing better than seeing a child say, or do something amazing, and knowing that you had a part of it.  Whether it is in a school setting, or daily life.  When I was the Nursery Leader in Lodi, a parent was talking to me about a song their kids kept singing.  A song I taught them.  It was great to know I had an impact on these kids.  It is a small thing I know, but it is important none the less
  • Writing.  I haven't written in a long time, but once a story gets stuck in my head.  It consumes my mind.  When I write it out, there is something about the details and putting it on paper that makes it feel more real.  I hope to someday finish something, and then get it published.
  • Scentsy.  Honestly, I am not that great at selling scentsy, but I sure do love smelling it.
  • Manga.  It is nerdy, I know, but I can't help it.  I love reading mangas (and watching anime too.  How do you think Zuko got his name.)
  • Coming up with ideas.  This one sounds weird, even to me.  I was thinking about it, and yes.  Coming up with ideas is a passion of mine.  I love to think of ideas.  Whether it is what do do with the backyard, what to decorate with for the holidays, and much more.  I say ideas, because, sometimes the ideas don't go anywhere.  They remain just ideas.  But it is still fun.

Question 7

7. What is your dream job, and why?
My dream job would have to be being a Mom.  Not just any Mom.  A Stay at Home Mom (or as I like to call it:SHMom)  I love children.  Yes, they can drive you crazy at times, but they are such a blessing and so wonderful to be around.  I also know that it was a blessing to have my mom there all the time.  I can only remember her being at home.  I didn't always get along with her, but she was always there to care of us when we needed her.  I want my kids to have that same thing.

Question 6

6. What is the hardest thing you have ever experienced?

This question is very difficult to me.  Partially because I don't know exactly how to put it, and partially, because part of this answer is so fresh right now.
I guess the hardest thing to experience is the threat/reality of a loved one dieing.  I know pretty much everyone has dealt with it.  More than once too.  It is difficult watching them go through it, and being helpless.  Only able to sit on the sidelines and watch as try to pull through, and a lot of us are fortunate that our family members do pull through.  Then other times, that choice is impossible.

While this has been a difficult thing to deal with in my life, it also makes me so incredibly grateful to my Heavenly Father and the Savior.

I will leave it at that.

Question 5

5. What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now?

  • My wonderful hubby.  He is always so supportive and willing to lend me strength when I need it.  (even now, he is out buying me dinner) We don't always agree, but at the end of the day, he is my eternal partner, and the thought of that is sometimes the only thing that keeps me going.
  • These boys
They can be annoying at times, but Freckles and Zuko are so loyal, (It does make me extra happy that Zuko is a big mamas boy.) fun, adorable, sweet, and cuddling with them and my hubby makes nights perfect.
  • Conversations with children.  (Especially my Nieces and Nephews) You never know what a child will say, and that is part of the fun.  I think that in everyone's busy schedules, we should all take at least 5 minutes out of our day to listen to what a child has to say.(totally rhymed right there)
  •  The Temple.  There is something about the Temple that just calms your heart and brings a sense of peace.  Thinking of the temple, and what the temple means to me, fills my heart with warmth every time.  If you haven't been to an LDS Temple, I encourage you to just go sit outside of one for a little bit.
  • Sleep.  Kinda silly to include it in this list, but sleeping makes me super happy, especially when I don't get nearly enough of it.  (like lately)  When I sleep, my worries go away.  I also have the most crazy magical dreams sometimes too.
This would mean my perfect night would be, falling asleep cuddled up with the Hubby, Freckles and Zuko, after a date at the Temple, dreaming about talking with my future children.

Question 4

4. List 10 things you would tell your 16 year-old self, if you could.
  • These crushes you have now, wont mean anything to you in a couple years
  • Yes dad wont let you have an inside cat, trust me, you don't really want to mess with the litter anyway.
  • Dance your heart out at those dances.  When you get older, you wont go to them anymore.
  • That boy you like.  He will eventually break your heart.  But don't worry.  You will get over it.
  • Your Senior year, don't take A.C.E.  It will be a waste of time.
  • Work harder at practicing music and singing.
  • As it turns out, you are pretty awesome.  Don't forget it, but be humble about it as well
  • Get a job as early as you can.  You will need it
  • Hanging out with boys is a lot of fun.  But you need girl time too.
  • Some day, you will meet this hot guy with this super cute accent.  You will marry him.  Think of that, and smile everyday.

This was actually pretty hard.  I honestly don't really think that there is too much to tell my 16 year-old self.  Other than the whole A.C.E. thing, I really wouldn't change much.  I have a feeling that I am stronger for the few hard things I went through.  I am glad I had them.

Question 3

I know, I'm a day late for question 3, but I was so into yesterday my "day off" (not really) that I sorta forgot until late.  Here is the 3rd question:

3. Describe your relationship with your parents.
My relationship with my parents has changed so much since I was a kid.  Especially with my mom.  I used to fight a lot with my mom.  Because she reads my blog, I think it is best to not point fingers.(that could get me in trouble)  While I still get in fights with my mom, we have a much better relationship now.  I feel more comfortable talking to her.  Which is a big deal.
With my dad, things haven't changed THAT much.  Although, I have realized that I roll my eyes a lot more at him now.  I like being around my dad.  Most of the time he is funny, unless it is one of those moments that deserves an eye roll.(In which case, he is only funny to the boys)  All in all, my relationship with my dad can be described as, I'm a daddy's girl.
I haven't always agreed with my parents, but I think that they are pretty good parents.  I mean, look at me.  I turned out awesome right?

Question 2

Whoohoo.  Second day and I am posting before midnight.
2. Describe 3 legitimate fears you have and explain how they became fears.

  • Needles.  I hate needles.  Years ago, my dad was diagnosed with cancer.  While he was in the hospital, on of the women that put his IVs in, he said must have broken up with her boyfriend or something, because she was DIGGING  to find his vein. Like needle in skin, miss the vein, and wiggle the needle around to find one.  Another one popped his vein the next day.  So after reading this, you are probably scared of needles too.
  • The Dark.  Yes yes, I realize that I am 22 years old, but the dark is scary.  When we lived out in the country, I expressed this fear to my best friend.  I wanted to move into town because of this reason,  She pointed out to me that something bad is more likely to happen in town because that is where the robbers and such are.  The thing is, while I am afraid of hooligans coming and breaking into my house, that is not the main reason I am scared of the dark.  It's the zombies...and the warewolves.  Sad thing is, I am totally aware that these do not exist.  They still freak me out.
  • Spiders.  Whenever I see a spider, I start hyperventalating, and have to call for my brave hubby.  I know this is silly, but when I was younger, my older brothers (not sure which one anymore) told me that if spiders bite you, you will turn into a giant spider.  They used to tell me that they got bit and were going to turn and come and eat me.  I no longer believe this silly prank.  It is how my fear started.  Instead I now know that spiders can be poisinous, and they have lots of creepy eyes and legs.  They are scary looking.

Question 1

So todays question isnt exactly a question, but it will still be fun.
1. List 20 random facts about yourself:

  • I am LDS (Latter Day Saint.)
  • I think know that I have the best Nieces and Nephews, and will brag about them often
  • I come from a very large family, all of which are pretty awesome.
  • I got married at a very young age, and while I am finding out it can be tough at times, I absolutely love marriage, and that handsome Hubby of mine.
  • I love being around children. Talking with them, and watching them grow is amazing. I especially like how children think. They are sooo much smarter and perceptive than adults think they are.
  • I hate spending money...Which also means that my favorite word is FREE.
  • I love crafting, but I am also too unorganized to do much of it.
  • I am a writer and usually have a story running through my head at any point in the day.
  • Sometimes, when I want something, I try to expect it not to happen. Sorta like to trick the situation.
  • I am an Anime and Manga addict. I love me some graphic novels.
  • I used to want to be a veterinarian, but realized that I cant handle blood...and I would cry anytime someones pet was severely sick.
  • I have terrible spelling. Which is why I love spell check so much.
  • I once confused my mom because I failed Pre Calculus, but got an A in Chemistry. Thank you Mr. N. for the food analogies...and also, the Unit circle sucks.
  • I hate it when my toes are cold. They get cold way too easily.
  • I am actually ok at crocheting.
  • I have a camera. I usually take it with me places. I pretty much NEVER take any pictures.
  • When I was in elementary school, I almost always wore a dress made by my mom. She is a very good seamstress.
  • I love live theatre. Though I don't suggest going to a show with me. I can be very vocal and nit picky at pretty much every aspect of a play. (Thanks Mr. Chase) Apparently It is very annoying...but seriously, you shouldn't act with your back facing the audience.
  • I can talk a lot. I mean a LOT. I wont stay on the same subject either. I hate silences, so my mouth just keeps running.
  • I have a passion for music. I am always listening to music. As a writer(see above) I believe music and story telling/writing go hand in hand.
