23 Weeks and Counting Down

As of today, I am 23 weeks pregnant with our little boy.  Which may seem crazy since I haven't posted about it till now.  Our little man is due at the end of April.  We have only 4 more months to get ready for him.  On one hand, 4 months feels like forever away, but I know once we get closer, it may of gone by too fast.

Life being pregnant thus far:
  • I had a little bit of morning sickness in the beginning   It mostly consisted of getting sick once (with several close calls)  and just avoiding a LOT of stuff.  Little man is not a fan of sugary things. (especially chocolate)  I can tolerate most of the stuff that used to make me sick except for eggs.
  • Things that I have craved- cold pizza, Cambodian soup made by a friend of ours, homemade pumpkin empanadas, french fries  corndogs, KFC coleslaw, steak, black pepper, mustard, and plums.  I have also been wanting some pumpkin cheesecake lately, but I cant tell if it is a baby craving, or just a "its that time of the year" thing.
  • I have been trying to sleep mostly on my left side, which they say is what you are supposed to do, but man, sleeping on the same side the whole time makes me sore.
  • The hubby does not smell good anymore.  I remember sitting with him in church and leaning over just to smell him.  Not anymore.  Though that, just like my eating habits, are starting to go slightly back to normal.  That is, he doesn't stink anymore.
  • I love being kicked.  Nothing too hard yet.  Just little ones.  They make my day though.  I like to try and lay in bed a little longer in the morning because he kicks the bed.  Night time too.  Occasionally he will kick me during the day.  Though Sarah has been telling me she could feel him kick since I was about 10 weeks.
  • The cramping has started.  Oh man, does it hurt.  sometimes it will happen when I move my feet around at night, but a lot of the time, it happens around my hips when I try to get up.  Not fun.
  • As bad as that sounds, I think my least favorite part of this is the prenatal vitamins.  Talk about not fun.  I had to switch to gummy ones because every time I would try to swallow those giant pills, my body would try to throw it and everything else out of my system.  Even though the gummies don't make me throw up when I eat them, they taste so icky that I have to be careful of what I do afterwards.  Toothpaste is pretty much not going near me within half an hour of me taking them.
  • The main thing that has been getting to me most everyday is how tired I am.  Growing a person is hard work, and my body definitely lets me know that.
Mostly, I have had a super good pregnancy.  I am very fortunate in that. I also have a lot of support around the house.  I have the best husband at times like these.

We are so excited and nervous to be parents.  Mostly excited though.  I just want to meet him already and shower him in hugs and kisses.  Dress him in cute little sweaters and ties.  Teach him how to be a gentleman, and how to cook.  Watch him wrestle with daddy and to boys(Freckles and Zuko)  Mostly I cant wait to see him smile.  It will definitely be an exciting start to a new part in our lives.

*gasp* She lives!

I know, I know.  Where have I been?  Absolutely nowhere.  Just sitting at home, not blogging.  At least I have cute pictures to post right?  Nope.  Nothing.  I figured that I should post at least something though, since it has been a month and a half.
Actually,  I just got my computer back a week ago.  It had a virus last month that we tried to get rid of, then found out that our windows recovery discs didn't work.  Now my computer is just like it was when I first got it.  Which means all my pictures are on a disc somewhere and not anywhere that I can find it.  Also, my camera(and husband) are not here either.  They are in Montana.  Why Montana?  Well that is where my handsome man's dad is at for the week.  Why do I keep asking questions like this?  Because I feel like it.
Seriously though, I am so excited that he can visit his dad this weekend.  I am also excited for all the pictures he is taking...or the ones he better be taking.  I sure do miss him terribly though.  At around 5:30,  Freckles went and sat by the front window and just stared outside waiting for the car to pull up.
While the hubby has been gone, I have done pretty much nothing.  Haleigh came to stay with me so we put up my Christmas tree and relaxed all day.

Other than this,  there are actually a LOT of new things going on with us.  Including some new craft things, new recipes, and some even more exciting news.  All in good time though.  Once I fix my picture situation, I will try to post it all.
For now though,  I have two puppies trying to sabotage me. One trying to knock over my foot rest and another one trying to kick my just-fixed computer to the floor.  Pictures soon.

Question 30...Finally

So here we are. Way earlier than the butt crack of dawn on October the 12th, and I have finally finished all 30 questions that I was supposed to do in September.  Did I do them all on time?  No, but at least I finished them.  Maybe someday I will finish interlinking them too. but for now,  I am proud of myself.  Now the blogger world might actually be able to read about things that are going on in my life.  For now, here is the last question.

30. List 10 things you would hope to be remembered for.
  • Kindness
  • Storytelling
  • Respect for others
  • Cooking (in a good way please)
  • Ability to have fun
  • Love for my family
  • My relationship with my children in the future (also in a good way)
  • Ability to follow through on a timely manner(I have not yet achieved this one, but I am working on it)
  • The relationship with my husband(Another one of those "in a good way" things)
  • Understanding and love of children.

Question 29

29. What do you think people misunderstand most about you?
So a couple years ago, I discovered that, at a first impression, I can come off as a total snob.  It has been confirmed by a couple people, one of which I am married to.
The reason for this is that I am shy.  I usually seem obnoxious and loud, but I have a really hard time starting a conversation with someone I don't know.  So what do I do?  I don't talk to them and keep to myself.  It is not because I have no interest in talking to them or think I am better than them, but I just don't know what to say.  It has also been confirmed, that once I do start talking to people, (usually they have to start the conversation) that opinion of me gets changed and MOST of them think I am pretty cool.  (You know, because I am)

Question 28

28. What is your love language?
Well, I took a test and it said physical.  I totally agree with that.  I love cuddling and holding hands.  Whenever Hubby and I pass each other around the house, I always grab his arm.  I don't really know why, but I do.  If I am struggling with something, all he has to do is hold my hand or hug me, and while whatever problem I'm facing doesn't go away, just those small gestures help so much.

Question 27

27. What is your favorite part of your body and why?
My eyes are awesome.  I love the color of them.  Depending on what I wear, they are grey with a dark ring around them.  I have always been self conscious about myself, but I have always loved my eyes.

Question 26

26. What popular notion do you think the world has most wrong?
There are a lot of popular notions that the world has wrong.  One of the biggest ones is the worlds view on chastity.

Question 25

25. If you could have dinner with anyone in history, who would it be and what would you eat?
So I know this is probably a standard answer, especially for Christians, but I would love to have dinner with Jesus.  How amazing would that be?  There is so much that he could teach me and tell me.  Not to mention, just physically seeing him would probably make me so happy I would cry.
(Just a side note.  It struck me funny that, as I am writing about how nice it would be to meet Jesus, I just threatened to punch Zuko in the neck)
While it really wouldn't matter what we ate, I would like to eat a steak made by either my Hubby, or my brother-in-law.  Man can those guys cook.  Also Hampton mashed potatoes, because they are awesome.  Then some green beans and Nectarines. (not mixed together)  Yum.
Like I said, though, I highly doubt that whatever I ate, wouldn't matter.

Question 24

24. Describe your family dynamic of your childhood vs. your family dynamic now.
Ok, so don't laugh, but I looked the deffinition of "family dynamic" up, and it was not as helpful as I would have liked.  It is a hard thing for me to describe.
When I was a child, I was a peacemaker.  I would tell people to stop fighting, and they would ban together to be mad at me.  I also followed my brothers around a lot.  I looked up to them.  I was very much a little sister.
Now, while I still look up to my brothers, I connect more with my sisters.  I also feel that I have taken on more of a big sister role than a little sister role.
On top of that, since my dear hubby and I got married, I have taken on a whole new role.  Supportive worry wort wife.

I don't know if any of that really makes much sense, but It is a difficult thing for me to explain.

Question 23

23. List your top 5 hobbies and why you love them.
  • Crocheting.  I love being able to create things.  There is so much to create with yarn and a hook
  • Writing.  I love to write and think of things to write about.  Creating new worlds to go to.
  • Cooking.  Luis will tell you that I don't actually do much of it lately, but coming up with new recipes and trying others recipes can be so fun.  Plus, I love to eat.
  • Coloring.  Sometimes there is nothing better than doing something so simple.  Brings you back to your childhood.
  • Smelling Scentsy.  I know it should be selling Scentsy, but truthfully, smelling and selling is really the same thing.  It is much more fun if I get to participate in the smelling.  It smalls so good...mostly.

Question 22

22. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 15 years?
In 5 years, I hope to have 2 Children, moved back to Lodi, and have my schooling done.  I know, school done with 2 kids? I must be crazy.  I would also like to be a stay at home mom by then.
In 10 years I would like to have 3 children.  Possibly have a side business doing something I like.  I would also like to have visited Bolivia by this time.
15 years in the future is a long time.  I honestly don't know where I would like to be in 15 years.  Living somewhere nice with Luis and our kids.

Question 21

21. If you could have one superpower, what would it be and what would you do with it first?
I wish I had the power to create anything with my mind.  Like bring it into the physical world.  My refrigerator would never be empty, my yard would look awesome, and I would have the coolest house ever.
Though the first thing that I would probably do, is take all of the stories that I have been trying to write down and have them in a book.  They keep filling my head and I would like to share them, but I can't write them fast enough.  It may seem silly, but I think that reading is important, and I would like to be part of that.  I still could be part of it, but having a super power would make it easier.

Question 20

20. Describe 3 significant memories from your childhood.
  • One summer, I spent most of it with my grandparents and helped my Granny take care of Cody.  An old poodle who was deaf, blind and toothless.  He was awesome.  It was a really great summer.  Granny taught me a lot.  (It is also where my love of the game skipbow came from)
  • Every day, when Daddy would get home from work, we would sit on the couch, dad on his side, and Brooke and I sitting right on top of him.  At six o'clock, we would watch Emeril Live.  We would always talk about making the food he did on his show.  It was a very important bonding time with my dad...and food.
  • When I was in elementary school, birthdays were special to me.  One year, there was a field trip to the zoo and Old Sacramento.  Dad came with me and when we were having lunch with the class, dad had brought a little chocolate cake and candle and started singing to me.  He also used to send me flowers at school.  Yeah. my dad is pretty awesome.

Question 19

19. If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?
Honestly, I don't know.  I know I don't want to remain in Stockton, but as for where I would go if I could live anywhere.  There are a couple places.  I really like Lodi, and my sister is there, but It says anywhere.  I feel lame if I could pick anywhere and picked Lodi.  I guess my idea location would be someplace where people still know and are genuinely nice to their neighbors.  A place where the schools aren't messed up.  Somewhere that I would feel comfortable raising my children.  If a place like this even exists.
Either that, or in the country somewhere.

Question 18

18. What has been the most difficult thing you have had to forgive?
This is a really really long story and I wont tell you the whole thing, but before I dated Luis, a friend of mine was messing with me, and it made me very angry.  Thinking about it, the poor guy just happened to come up to me at the wrong time.  I just barely started talking to him a couple months ago.  It is all very silly now, and we have gone back to being old friends, but I couldn't even think about this friend for a very long time with out getting mad about it all.

Question 17

17. What is the thing you most wish you were great at?
I really wish I was great at finishing things in a timely manner.  I still have a project that I started a year ago.  Not to mention the baby blanket that took me MONTHS to finish.

Question 16

16. What are your 5 greatest accomplishments?
  • Buying our house
  • Learning to decorate cakes
  • Learning to crochet
  • Convincing Luis to marry me.
  • Un packing and decorating my house.
Ok, so the last one is still a work in progress.  It will happen though.  This question has really made me think about my life.

Question 15

15. If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
If I were an animal, I think I would be a sloth.  License to be lazy forever?  I think yes.

Photobucket

Question 14

14. Describe 5 strengths you have.
  • For the most part, I try to stay open to others and their opinions.
  • Love of children.  I love children.  I thing that it is strength because I have learned so much from children, and will continue to learn new things everyday.
  • Small details.  That's right.  My attention and focus on small details, while is a weakness, I also believe its one of my strengths.
  • Visual learning.  If I can focus and watch something, I can learn it pretty easily.  (That's how I learned to crochet. and I'm pretty good at it)
  • Dependence on my Heavenly Father.  Even through hard times, I know he is there to guide and comfort me.

Photobucket

Question 13

13. Describe 5 weaknesses you have.
  • Distraction.  I get distracted way to easily.  Which means I don't always finish everything I start (as you can tell since a lot of these posts weeks late.
  • Small details.  I can get very flustered over some of the smallest things.  I know this.  Though I think it can hinder me a lot of times, I don't plan on trying to change it.
  • Sometimes, I forget that people don't think the same way I do.  This one is a bit harder for me to explain.  I understand that everyone has a different opinion than I do, but it is their attitude about a lot of things that I don't get.
  • I can be very stubborn and snobby when it comes to things like food.
  • Netflix.  If we are subscribed to Netflix (which we no longer are) then absolutely nothing gets done.  I'm paying for it, I'm going to watch it as much as possible!

Another question I asked Luis about, he says that making the bed and vegetables are my kryptonite.
Photobucket

Question 12

12. Describe a typical day in your current life.
A typical day in my life right now is pretty boring.
I wake up, throw the dog blanket on the bed, cuddle with my boys and try to go back to sleep till work, get up, Decide whether I want to eat my cereal, or shower first.  Lay down for a bit longer after my shower, Get up,   put the boys outside, go to work, come home eat, take a nap, Try to find energy to do dishes, try to find energy to make food, eat, sit on the computer for a bit, cuddle and talk with the Hubby, then go to bed and start it over.

There is a lot of food snacking that takes place throughout the day.

Question 11

11. Describe 10 pet peeves you have.
  • Being mean to others
  • Boogers. Especially when people eat them
  • Having to go to the bathroom at night
  • Loud clapping (I have certain loved ones in mind with this one)
  • Making fun of my favorite music
  • Talking badly about others without knowing their situation.
  • Actors turning their back to the audience
  • Messing with my set(I haven't worked on one in a while, but I still hate it)
  • The "Spider" song (my siblings made it up a long time ago, specifically to bug me, and I never get over it)
  • Sneaky pooper (Discovered to be Zuko) doing his sneaking right before I have to leave the house.

Question 10

10. Describe your most embarrassing moment.
This question is hard because there are so many to choose from.
I think the most embarrassing moment that I have held onto for the longest was in my Freshman year of high school.  I was at a competition for show choir.  We were watching other groups preform.  I forget exactly why I was standing up, but when I went to sit down, somehow I forgot that the seats flipped up when  you stand.  Instead of sitting, I fell right to the ground.  Even my mom and choir teacher who were several rows back saw the whole thing.  A really cute guy that was sitting right behind me tried to help me up, but I was too embarrassed to let him.  I sat there laughing for a while.

I was telling Luis this story.  Apparently, at his prom, a similar thing happened to him.  Though his is less about being clumsy, and more about a breaking chair.  They had these old chairs that were left out to the elements.  When prom came around, the washed the chairs and used them.  Luis sat in one, and the leg of the chair broke right from under him.

Question 9

9. List 10 people who have influenced you and describe how.
  •  My Wonderful Husband.  He has taught me so much since we got married.  I know more about love and being an adult.  My life would not be as full without him here.  I am also much stronger in the church since he came into my life.
  • My parents.  I don't really know if I need to explain this one.  They sorta raised me and for the most part taught me to be this awesome.
  • My siblings.  I may fight with my brother's and sisters, but they have also taught me so much about friendship, and have been there for me when I needed
  • My heavenly father and Jesus Christ.  Everything that I am, everything I have, I owe to them.  I wouldn't have my family if it weren't for them.
  • My best-friend, Janie.  I am pretty sure I would have gone crazy in high school without her.  She seriously is the definition of best-friend.  I know that no matter what happens,  we will tell each other the ugly truth, and support each other at the same time.  She is the closest thing I could get to a sister, without her actually being my sister.
  • My other bestie, Bethany.  We have been friends forever (minus a year)  She has been my good friend longer than anyone else in my life.  (unless you count Janie.  apparently, we met when we were two)  She doesn't know it, but she helped me find my courage to stand up for something.  In high school, some guy was talking not so nice about her (she wouldn't go out with him)and I was so angry that someone would talk about her like that,  I started yelling at them.  (thinking about it still kinda makes me mad)  She is seriously one of the nicest people.  Even in that "minus year" When we were fighting, I didn't really have anything bad to say about her.  Even when we don't see each other for a long time, it is like no time has passed at all.
  • One of the kids I babysit.  He is the reason I decided I want to work with, and teach children.
  • Our old Landlords.  I really miss them since we bought our house.  They are seriously the cutest older couple ever.  I hope that Luis and I still have a marriage like theirs.  Especially because the wife is totally the boss.
  • My grandparents.  Especially right now, when they are going through a lot of stuff.  I have been visiting them a bit more often.  It is very encouraging to hear Grandpa talk about his temple marriage.  He may not remember everything, but he knows, and is grateful, that him and Granny will be together forever.  Every time I talk to him, he always says something about how much he loves her.   I keep thinking of when I used to come over to visit, Granny would always teach me fun things, like crocheting, and how to make awesome mountain cookies.  Grandparents are the best.
  • Sister cook.  She used to be my Young Womens leader.  She was the first adult outside of family that I felt really close to.  She always encouraged me while I was in high school.  I looked up to her and always wanted to be just like her.

Question 8

Eeek.  I know.  I'm late in posting by DAYS but I am about to get caught up.  Promise.

8. What are 5 passions you have?
  • Teaching.  Mostly children.  There is nothing better than seeing a child say, or do something amazing, and knowing that you had a part of it.  Whether it is in a school setting, or daily life.  When I was the Nursery Leader in Lodi, a parent was talking to me about a song their kids kept singing.  A song I taught them.  It was great to know I had an impact on these kids.  It is a small thing I know, but it is important none the less
  • Writing.  I haven't written in a long time, but once a story gets stuck in my head.  It consumes my mind.  When I write it out, there is something about the details and putting it on paper that makes it feel more real.  I hope to someday finish something, and then get it published.
  • Scentsy.  Honestly, I am not that great at selling scentsy, but I sure do love smelling it.
  • Manga.  It is nerdy, I know, but I can't help it.  I love reading mangas (and watching anime too.  How do you think Zuko got his name.)
  • Coming up with ideas.  This one sounds weird, even to me.  I was thinking about it, and yes.  Coming up with ideas is a passion of mine.  I love to think of ideas.  Whether it is what do do with the backyard, what to decorate with for the holidays, and much more.  I say ideas, because, sometimes the ideas don't go anywhere.  They remain just ideas.  But it is still fun.

Question 7

7. What is your dream job, and why?
My dream job would have to be being a Mom.  Not just any Mom.  A Stay at Home Mom (or as I like to call it:SHMom)  I love children.  Yes, they can drive you crazy at times, but they are such a blessing and so wonderful to be around.  I also know that it was a blessing to have my mom there all the time.  I can only remember her being at home.  I didn't always get along with her, but she was always there to care of us when we needed her.  I want my kids to have that same thing.

Question 6

6. What is the hardest thing you have ever experienced?

This question is very difficult to me.  Partially because I don't know exactly how to put it, and partially, because part of this answer is so fresh right now.
I guess the hardest thing to experience is the threat/reality of a loved one dieing.  I know pretty much everyone has dealt with it.  More than once too.  It is difficult watching them go through it, and being helpless.  Only able to sit on the sidelines and watch as try to pull through, and a lot of us are fortunate that our family members do pull through.  Then other times, that choice is impossible.

While this has been a difficult thing to deal with in my life, it also makes me so incredibly grateful to my Heavenly Father and the Savior.

I will leave it at that.

Question 5

5. What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now?

  • My wonderful hubby.  He is always so supportive and willing to lend me strength when I need it.  (even now, he is out buying me dinner) We don't always agree, but at the end of the day, he is my eternal partner, and the thought of that is sometimes the only thing that keeps me going.
  • These boys
They can be annoying at times, but Freckles and Zuko are so loyal, (It does make me extra happy that Zuko is a big mamas boy.) fun, adorable, sweet, and cuddling with them and my hubby makes nights perfect.
  • Conversations with children.  (Especially my Nieces and Nephews) You never know what a child will say, and that is part of the fun.  I think that in everyone's busy schedules, we should all take at least 5 minutes out of our day to listen to what a child has to say.(totally rhymed right there)
  •  The Temple.  There is something about the Temple that just calms your heart and brings a sense of peace.  Thinking of the temple, and what the temple means to me, fills my heart with warmth every time.  If you haven't been to an LDS Temple, I encourage you to just go sit outside of one for a little bit.
  • Sleep.  Kinda silly to include it in this list, but sleeping makes me super happy, especially when I don't get nearly enough of it.  (like lately)  When I sleep, my worries go away.  I also have the most crazy magical dreams sometimes too.
This would mean my perfect night would be, falling asleep cuddled up with the Hubby, Freckles and Zuko, after a date at the Temple, dreaming about talking with my future children.

Question 4

4. List 10 things you would tell your 16 year-old self, if you could.
  • These crushes you have now, wont mean anything to you in a couple years
  • Yes dad wont let you have an inside cat, trust me, you don't really want to mess with the litter anyway.
  • Dance your heart out at those dances.  When you get older, you wont go to them anymore.
  • That boy you like.  He will eventually break your heart.  But don't worry.  You will get over it.
  • Your Senior year, don't take A.C.E.  It will be a waste of time.
  • Work harder at practicing music and singing.
  • As it turns out, you are pretty awesome.  Don't forget it, but be humble about it as well
  • Get a job as early as you can.  You will need it
  • Hanging out with boys is a lot of fun.  But you need girl time too.
  • Some day, you will meet this hot guy with this super cute accent.  You will marry him.  Think of that, and smile everyday.

This was actually pretty hard.  I honestly don't really think that there is too much to tell my 16 year-old self.  Other than the whole A.C.E. thing, I really wouldn't change much.  I have a feeling that I am stronger for the few hard things I went through.  I am glad I had them.

Question 3

I know, I'm a day late for question 3, but I was so into yesterday my "day off" (not really) that I sorta forgot until late.  Here is the 3rd question:

3. Describe your relationship with your parents.
My relationship with my parents has changed so much since I was a kid.  Especially with my mom.  I used to fight a lot with my mom.  Because she reads my blog, I think it is best to not point fingers.(that could get me in trouble)  While I still get in fights with my mom, we have a much better relationship now.  I feel more comfortable talking to her.  Which is a big deal.
With my dad, things haven't changed THAT much.  Although, I have realized that I roll my eyes a lot more at him now.  I like being around my dad.  Most of the time he is funny, unless it is one of those moments that deserves an eye roll.(In which case, he is only funny to the boys)  All in all, my relationship with my dad can be described as, I'm a daddy's girl.
I haven't always agreed with my parents, but I think that they are pretty good parents.  I mean, look at me.  I turned out awesome right?

Question 2

Whoohoo.  Second day and I am posting before midnight.
2. Describe 3 legitimate fears you have and explain how they became fears.

  • Needles.  I hate needles.  Years ago, my dad was diagnosed with cancer.  While he was in the hospital, on of the women that put his IVs in, he said must have broken up with her boyfriend or something, because she was DIGGING  to find his vein. Like needle in skin, miss the vein, and wiggle the needle around to find one.  Another one popped his vein the next day.  So after reading this, you are probably scared of needles too.
  • The Dark.  Yes yes, I realize that I am 22 years old, but the dark is scary.  When we lived out in the country, I expressed this fear to my best friend.  I wanted to move into town because of this reason,  She pointed out to me that something bad is more likely to happen in town because that is where the robbers and such are.  The thing is, while I am afraid of hooligans coming and breaking into my house, that is not the main reason I am scared of the dark.  It's the zombies...and the warewolves.  Sad thing is, I am totally aware that these do not exist.  They still freak me out.
  • Spiders.  Whenever I see a spider, I start hyperventalating, and have to call for my brave hubby.  I know this is silly, but when I was younger, my older brothers (not sure which one anymore) told me that if spiders bite you, you will turn into a giant spider.  They used to tell me that they got bit and were going to turn and come and eat me.  I no longer believe this silly prank.  It is how my fear started.  Instead I now know that spiders can be poisinous, and they have lots of creepy eyes and legs.  They are scary looking.

Question 1

So todays question isnt exactly a question, but it will still be fun.
1. List 20 random facts about yourself:

  • I am LDS (Latter Day Saint.)
  • I think know that I have the best Nieces and Nephews, and will brag about them often
  • I come from a very large family, all of which are pretty awesome.
  • I got married at a very young age, and while I am finding out it can be tough at times, I absolutely love marriage, and that handsome Hubby of mine.
  • I love being around children. Talking with them, and watching them grow is amazing. I especially like how children think. They are sooo much smarter and perceptive than adults think they are.
  • I hate spending money...Which also means that my favorite word is FREE.
  • I love crafting, but I am also too unorganized to do much of it.
  • I am a writer and usually have a story running through my head at any point in the day.
  • Sometimes, when I want something, I try to expect it not to happen. Sorta like to trick the situation.
  • I am an Anime and Manga addict. I love me some graphic novels.
  • I used to want to be a veterinarian, but realized that I cant handle blood...and I would cry anytime someones pet was severely sick.
  • I have terrible spelling. Which is why I love spell check so much.
  • I once confused my mom because I failed Pre Calculus, but got an A in Chemistry. Thank you Mr. N. for the food analogies...and also, the Unit circle sucks.
  • I hate it when my toes are cold. They get cold way too easily.
  • I am actually ok at crocheting.
  • I have a camera. I usually take it with me places. I pretty much NEVER take any pictures.
  • When I was in elementary school, I almost always wore a dress made by my mom. She is a very good seamstress.
  • I love live theatre. Though I don't suggest going to a show with me. I can be very vocal and nit picky at pretty much every aspect of a play. (Thanks Mr. Chase) Apparently It is very annoying...but seriously, you shouldn't act with your back facing the audience.
  • I can talk a lot. I mean a LOT. I wont stay on the same subject either. I hate silences, so my mouth just keeps running.
  • I have a passion for music. I am always listening to music. As a writer(see above) I believe music and story telling/writing go hand in hand.

Meet Zuko

I know I said the next step for our family was going to be a baby...well I lied.
Our next step was our new Miniature Schnauzer.
Some of you might ask, "Why did you name him Zuko?"  The name Zuko comes from "Avatar: The Last Airbender".  Don't judge.  Its a great show.(Hated the movie though)

Freckles is trying to get used to everything.  It isn't that we don't pay attention to him has much, but he has still been acting out.  I think part of it is because, all of the normal things that we would do, now we do them with Zuko in our lap.(because he is small enough to fit there)  It is not enough for him to be scratched and pet anymore.  In fact, every time I try to pick Zuko up, Freckles runs into my hand and blocks him from me.  Even funnier is that Zuko likes it when Freckles bullies him.

When we brought him home, we noticed he was COVERED in fleas.  I've never even seen that many on Freckles.  And he has so much area for them to be in.  So Zuko has already been bathed...3 times...since Thursday.
He is having fun writing this post with me too.

House preview:Backyard

Just a couple pictures to show you a little of our backyard.  The house is almost ready to post more pictures.  I just need a couple more things so i can clean up these boxes then we will be mostly set
Freckles was very unsure of what to do when we let him back there by himself.  When we were at the apartment, he was never out there by himself unless in the kennel.  Now he has this huge yard to himself and he doesn't like it.  Still loves to be with us 24/7

The cat LOVES it out there.  Never wants to come it.

(Oh and in case you guys care, I painted my nails the BEST purple color ever.)
